Nicola & Noah’s wedding 30 07 22 at Athelhampton House

On Saturday we had the enormous pleasure of photographing Nicola & Noah’s big day at the wonderful and picturesque Athelhampton House https://www.athelhampton.com/ in the heart of Dorset.

The day started with Dave heading over to Athelhampton to photograph Noah and the boys getting ready whilst I headed over to photograph Nicola and the girls. We were also joined by videographer Becky from https://thompsonweddingfilms.co.uk/

Dave walked the fellas around the house, posing the boys in the spectacular rooms that Athelhampton has, most notably the billiard room where the lighting is just stunning.

Becky and I documented the bride and her friends getting their hair and makeup done and the general excitement of the morning. Sophie Ansell was responsible for the expert hair - Instagram - @slacourturehair - Facebook - @slacourtuerhair and Raechelle applied the perfect makeup - https://enchantedbeautybournemouth.uk/

Nicola looked stunning in her dress as she wowed her neighbours before leaving for the wedding venue.

After a couple of hours, I headed out to Athelhampton where we hooked up with Dave and began to cover the ceremony.

The wonderful thing about Athelhampton is the long driveway, which served as a perfect aisle for Nicola to make her big entrance to the wedding ceremony.

Noah let the emotions run free as he saw Nicola for the first time amongst the stunning backdrop of Athelhampton.

The ceremony was emotional with readings and music from family members and concluded with the happy couple tying the knot.

Shortly after the ceremony, we shot the group images on the lawn and in front of the house followed by a few images of the newlyweds alone before heading to the wedding breakfast.

The speeches brought out all the emotions from their friends and family and after many toasts the couple sat down to enjoy their wedding breakfast.

Dave and I set off to the main hall to organise our lighting kit for a few posed images. We were shortly joined by the happy couple where we had some great fun photographing them by the bay window.

Then off on a walk around the grounds of the house where we used the surrounding trees and flowers as a beautiful backdrop.

It was then time for the first dance. The couple stepped on to the dance floor and put on an incredible show - these guys were really good. So much style and enthusiasm.

This small blog is just a snippet of what was an incredible day for the newlyweds. A fab couple and fab venue.

We must mention the incredible staff at Athelhampton who bent over backwards to help us achieve our best plans, and for the wonderful food. And we must also mention the stunning flowers by Jessie Cooper https://westdorsetweddingflowers.co.uk/home

We thank you for choosing us to photograph your wonderful day and wish you all the best in your new life together.
