Kelly & David’s Wedding 17 09 22

On Saturday we headed over to Swanage on the Sandbanks ferry to photograph Kelly and her girls getting ready for her wedding day at Shell Bay in Studland https://shellbay.net/

Seb shortly headed off to meet up with Dave (the groom) and the groomsmen who were having a few pre-wedding drinks at the Bankes Arms - https://www.bankesarms.com/

Dave’s best man had hired a rather nice looking Ferrari to drive to the venue and the weather couldn’t have been better. We headed over to Shell Bay and photographed Dave arriving in style.

Once inside the venue, we then photographed the guests arriving. The venue looked stunning with Chinese lanterns hanging from the ceiling and the colourful table decorations.

Kelly arrived shortly after followed by her children and her bridesmaids.

The small aisle proved challenging to photograph in but the girls took their time, and Kelly followed on to an emotional waiting groom.

Shooting the ceremony was a new one for us as there’s no room to photograph on the ceremony platform so you have to stand just in front of the beach to get the best shooting position. This is all ok as we love a challenge and the spot looked pretty good.

The sun shone as the couple tied the knot. We then followed them back down the aisle to the beach to photograph a confetti line with bubbles.

We photographed the family shots, then it was back inside for the Wedding Breakfast.

The speeches were done before the Wedding Breakfast, something we are seeing more often and it works really well.

This was followed by a few images of the guests having fun around the tables. We headed back outside with the newlyweds to capture a few shots on the beach as the sun dropped.

The evening concluded for us with the guests taking to the dance floor. The couple didn’t want a first dance so the guests pulled a few shapes in their place. We left the amazing band playing as we headed off home to start our wedding edits.

We wish Kelly & Dave and the new bump all the best with their new life together
