JODIE & SAMUELS WEDDING DAY
On Saturday, Dave and I headed out to Wiltshire to photograph Jodie & Samuel's Wedding day. Dave joined the boys and I joined the girls for the morning before heading over to the wedding venue.
Jodie and her bridal party were staying at the beautiful Pink Tower https://www.furtherafield.com/properties/the-pink-tower-salisbury-wiltshire/ for the morning. As we had photographed the couple before, wedding nerves were at a minimum. In fact, it was very chilled with Jodie helping with the bridesmaid’s hair.
The venue was the stunning Bower Chalke barn - a restored 17th century barn in the heart of Wiltshire - now a beautiful and friendly wedding venue and a perfect setting for Jodie & Sam's big day. https://bowerchalkebarn.com/
The barn had been stunningly decorated in the chosen manor of the couple with lots of low level lighting, photos, gin bottles, rustic furniture and lots of sparkly things.
Dave and I photographed the guests arriving, then it was on to photograph the ceremony
The bridesmaids led Jodie & Samuel down the aisle towards the stage. What followed was a wonderful and warm ceremony readings and finally the exchange of rings.
As the weather was pretty wet and cold, we took most of the photos inside the barn, which was perfect for the couple. We shot the group images on the stage and then continued with candid shots throughout.
The lovely wedding breakfast was followed by some great speeches from family and friends.
Jodie’s father performed a few acoustic songs before the first dance got under way.
We then managed to photograph a few sparkler shots outside but had to be quick as the rain was fairly heavy.
After the first dance, we photographed friends dancing, then finally we took some long exposures of the venue before heading home to start editing.
A wonderful day with happy people and a fab couple.
We wish Jodie & Samuel all the best with their new life together and hope we stay in touch.
We would also like to thank the friendly staff at The Bower Chalke barn for making our day run smoothly.
