caitlin & Marks Wedding

On the 02nd of July, we were super happy to photograph Caitlin & Marks perfect wedding day at the stunning Breamore House in Fordingbridge https://breamorehouse.com/

Dave and I arrived at Marks parents in the morning to photograph the groomsmen getting ready where we were joined by our good friend and videographer Jenny https://filmcroft.wordpress.com/

A great chilled atmosphere at Marks place for the morning where it was great to take a few images around the house and a small group shot in the garden.

We then headed off to St James’s Church https://stjamesalderholtblog.wordpress.com/ where we were met by the happiest vicar on the planet (sporting the classic red converse high tops).

As the guests arrived, we photographed lots of informal documentary style images before the arrival of the bride.

Caitlin looked stunning as she arrived in style courtesy of Dorset dub hire https://www.dorsetdubhire.com/ emotions ran high as mark and Catlin walked down the isle together, as Mark lifted the veil a stunning Caitlin tears were shed

Our converse-wearing vicar gave an amazing service which ended in Caitlin & Mark tying the knot and the couple walking back down the aisle as husband and wife.

After a few family shots, we all headed down the road to Beamore where drinks and nibbles were served amidst the stunning backdrop of the 16th century house.

The newlyweds and their friends then spent time enjoying the company and surroundings before more family and friends shots.

Dave and I had prepared a big group shot earlier in the day however, the shot kind of happened impromptu in front of the house. It was totally brilliant as one by one people began to pile into a photo which was being taken of a few guests, soon the image grew into the most wonderful and fun group image.

After the excitement of photographers generally loving their job our lenses were pointed to a couple of the guests doing their acoustic sets in the marquee which also consisted of the best man belting out a few vocal harmonies, great skills to everyone.

Soon it was time for the speeches which were warm heartfelt, emotional and funny ( it’s also the first time we have seen speeches include a hit to the nut sack .. … by means of demonstration by the grooms party).

After the speeches a wonderful spread was laid on by The Salt Pig    https://www.thesaltpig.co.uk/outdoor-catering/ And the drinks by wild poppy bar https://wildpoppybar.uk/

As the afternoon winded down we took Caitlin & Mark for a walk around the grounds stopping to take a few nice images amongst the architecture.

As we arrived back to the marquee an impromptu game of cricket had broken out amongst the wedding party of course Dave got stuck in straight away, joined by Jenny they managed to record the competitive guests having a wonderful time. Meanwhile I took a few more images of Caitlin and Mark, notably pictures of Caitlins wonderfully hand stitched Mrs Holman jacket. (Its official they are now Mr & Mrs).

After the game had, ended hands were shaken differences forgotten and hugs were on tap, it was time for the first dance.

The happy couple took to the stage to a packed full house inviting everyone up to join them to throw some shapes on the dancefloor.

Dave and I got stuck in, armed with the fisheye we also threw a few shapes although quickly lost our staying power realising we aren’t as young as we used to be.

After that, we left the newlyweds to party the night away.

We mean it when we say it but you guys were so lovely and welcomed us as friends and not just togs. We wish you all the best in your new life together and can’t wait to see you guys again.

Love
